Charlie brings eighteen years of experience in the fine art and luxury watch markets to Winston Artory Group, where he serves as Director of Advisory. His fluency across both disciplines, rare among advisors operating at the highest levels of either field, allows him to serve collectors with a truly integrated perspective on building and managing world-class collections.
His foundation in the art world was established through senior roles at Pace Gallery, Gagosian, and Metro Pictures, institutions that shaped his rigorous approach to connoisseurship, market intelligence, and collector relationships. He subsequently founded and operated a private advisory practice before joining WAG, and continues to counsel clients globally on acquisitions and deaccessions across the contemporary market. Charlie holds a degree from Parsons School of Design in New York and brings deep expertise in post-war and contemporary art, with a particular focus on Minimalism.
In watches, Charlie's engagement is that of a lifelong collector before it is that of an advisor. A passion that began in his youth has compounded into one of the most refined areas of his practice, encompassing market analysis, private sourcing, and USPAP-compliant appraisal across the most consequential names in horology. He specializes in Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, and F.P. Journe, with particular expertise in identifying significant pieces, navigating the private market, and advising collectors on the long-term trajectory of their holdings.
What distinguishes Charlie's practice is his ability to understand collectors themselves, their motivations, their eye, and the kind of legacy they are building, and to translate that understanding into decisive, well-informed counsel at every stage of the acquisition and deaccession process.
